Quick update, since I don’t like Facebook.
The repairs turned out great. Among other things we put in an extra cabinet over the door, and a shelf for the printer under the desk. The wood matched perfectly. Ann is not sure what we will put into the cabinet, but I am sure she will find something. I, of course, know what to do will the added shelf.
We finally were finished with all of the repairs Thursday afternoon around 1PM. We made lunch in the coach and hit the Roan Road. Our first group of friends left over the weekend. Please don’t fret, as we weren’t left alone too long. On Monday afternoon, Lynn and Stuart Jeffery pulled in. They were friends we made last October at the New Horizons Rally. It was good seeing them again. Once again, world and coach problems were solved!
First stop was a truck stop in, you know I am not sure. It is one big blur. All I know we woke up around 5AM with a big stink right next to us. I opened the door of the coach and there was a cattle truck next to us. Now if you lived on a farm all your life this may smell sweet as a rose. Us city folk say it stinks.
We quickly pointed the nose of the truck South East toward Florida. Last night we stayed in a Wal-mart parking lot in Mt. Vernon, IL. It was quiet but hot. We had to run the generator so we could run the A/C. That used a lot of propane. So the free Wal-mart camping ain’t so free.
Tonight we are staying in a campsite outside Nashville. I guess we will stay here a few days and take in the sights. Can you imagine a couple of nice Jewish kids touring the Country Music capital?
Tomorrow we will be reporting from the Grand Ole Opry.
Life is good on the Roan Road…
