Whitehorse, Yukon Territory

Tried to post a blog yesterday, but the internet was so slow from Watson Lake that I could not even read emails.  They use Satellite internet and then distribute it via WiFi to the park.  That is slow, slow.

We are in Whitehorse, YT sitting in a small RV park with WiFi of limited access.  It is now 9:15 in the evening and the sun has a way to go.

Yesterday we stayed in Watson Lake in a big field they call an RV park. It had good electric, good water pressure but lousy Wifi.  Today we are in an RV park in  Whitehorse with good electric, good water and so so WiFi.

Some of the Locals on the way to Watson Lake.

Watson Lake is know for it’s “Sign post Forest”.  It was started in 1942 when a homesick GI was working on the Alaska highway put up a sign to his home town.  Now there are over 73,000 signs from all over the world.

A lost sole in the forest

One poor sole, lost in the forest.

More to come tomorrow from Whitehorse.

Mazel-tov tp Karen, John and Tommy on Michael Louis’s arrival.

Life is good along the Roan Road…

  1. So glad you are up and running again. I am sure you have heard that FORD stands for Fix Or Repair Daily! Have fun, and no more breakdown adventures.
